Safe and Welcoming Neighborhoods

Neighborhoods are the heart of our community.  Strong neighborhoods make for a strong city and every neighborhood has its own set of challenges and needs. Neighborhood associations, with their collective voice, can have a powerful impact on shaping our community.

From working to keep the Lawrence Loop and Burroughs Creek Splash Park funded, decreasing street sizes, lowering the speed limits, to passing a new utility assistance program, I have consistently worked with neighborhoods to keep them safe and welcoming.

I attend neighborhood meetings and the monthly meetings of the Lawrence Area Neighborhood Association (LAN) a collective group of all organized Lawrence neighborhoods. At these meetings I listen to residents’ needs and later research issues raised; so I can help neighborhoods preserve or improve their quality of life.

The list to the right shows some of the work that I’ve done with neighborhoods to make our community stronger and a desirable place to live.

Please know that I will continue to work for you and tirelessly negotiate on your behalf. Don’t hesitate to contact me to meet anytime or to express your concerns:
